Long time, no see.

Well, I thought this blogging thing would be an ineffective way to help promote our nigritude ultramarine entry. Well, I thought wrong. I *AM* going to use this. I think it can help. I think it can work.

I'm going to tell my story. It may be somewhat blackhat, but I'm nearly winning. Just have to topple TJ...

I removed our other members.

I'll have to tell Kirby tomorrow, but I removed him. I think Google does not like multi-user blogs from what I have seen. I hate to do this, but I'm going to set him up a blog for Nigritude Ultramarine exclusively.

Maybe that'll be even better in the SERPs.

Odd dates.

Have you ever noticed how Google only archives sites on odd days of the week? Every single cache date, if you search for nigritude ultramarine now, has a value of May 19th. Isn't that quite odd?

Guess what today is? Yep. Another odd day.

And you know what the weirdest thing is? These dates do not appear in Google's search results until even dates. Very methodical. Quite odd...

Why Nigritude Ultramarine?

I have been pondering a thought for some time today, so I thought I would share it with you: Why are people doing this?

Perhaps it is need. Some may find that their objective is the earnings of winning. Maybe they want an iPod or an LCD, maybe they want cash. But these kinds of players, I think, would not be playing this game so hard. If they really wanted these things, wouldn't they have a better way of getting them? This competition seems too hard for this kind of person. I don't think these people will win...

Or another reason - the user is an SEO. They virtually live for this, and they are wanting to prove to the SEO community how skilled they are. I would think this group would account for most of the competitors, although I am not sure.

There are always the curious, but these can be discounted. I don't see how one of these could win; is their will strong enough?

As for me, I'm in this just for the thrill. Though there be the obvious incentives, there is really only one thing for me to gain: pride. And I'm not about to humble myself. :P

Sneaky Websites

A new website, I won't name which, is using sneaky tactics with Perl to gain the top ranking. This particular website didn't have any content relating to Nigritude Ultramarine when I looked, and the html Google cached was wholly different. Curious, I switched my useragent to Google to investigate - the perl script banned me. Hmph, what a rude website!

An Observation: The Top 5

I just noticed that the Top 5 in the Nigritude Ultramarine ranking on Google remains pretty much the same these days. I mean, many of these sites manage to pull it off quite well!

Just as I was about to place my final bet on who the winner of this competition would be, berberber (www.nigritude-ultramarine-1.com) has managed to climb above from T.J. (www.sim64.co.uk/serps.html) in the Google rankings for Nigritude Ultramarine. Finally, there's reason to get excited!
